There is so much holiday enjoyment here! These are just a few of my favorite things to do.
Our Auburn Festival of Lights Parade is always a fantastic family affair. Young and old alike join in the community holiday spirit. This is a must-see! It's the first Saturday in December, so this year join us on December 6.
You can follow that up with a very moving evening of song on December 9 as the Auburn Symphony presents the Messiah Sing-Along. Just imagine singing in a choir of over 600 participants (and you're one of them.) Fantastic!
Colfax High School has a wonderful music and theater arts program. For years I've enjoyed productions in their state-of-the-art theater. It will warm your heart to enjoy an evening of choir music on December 11.
Pretend you're in Merry Ol' England this holiday with any (or all!) of these community events:
Old Town Auburn Country Christmas
Victorian Christmas in Nevada City
Cornish Christmas in Grass Valley
You can make a child smile by bringing a new, unwrapped toy to our Lyon office in Auburn, Here you'll find a drop-off for the Chips for Kids Toy Drive. We are accepting your kind donations through December 10. All the toys collected will be delivered to hospitalized and disadvantaged children just before the holidays.
Remember there are many folks in need who can use your help during this season. Be grateful, have fun, share, be generous. Embrace your community.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING
